She is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board in acupuncture and certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
In 2008, Ohio legislators unanimously passed a new practice law to allow acupuncturists direct access to patients without requiring a doctor’s referral. This was a culmination of two years of intense work by Carrie as Legislative Chair for the Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Carrie first began learning about the use of complimentary modalities in the treatment of animals. She completed over 2,000 hours of training in massage, acupressure, energy work and muscle rehabilitation for animals and humans prior to attending acupuncture school.
